Kara Erb, LPC,
About Kara Erb (She/Her)
Kara Erb, LPC, helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults build practical skills, gain insight into emotional challenges, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for patients across South Carolina, offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Kara works with a wide range of mental health concerns, with particular expertise in anxiety, ADHD, and depression, helping patients develop healthier coping strategies, improve daily functioning, and strengthen emotional well-being. Kara is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating gender identity concerns, women’s issues, and post-partum depression and anxiety. She understands that these experiences can be deeply personal and complex, often affecting relationships, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. Through a collaborative and affirming approach, Kara creates a safe space where patients can explore their concerns, build resilience, and develop confidence in their authentic selves. She is committed to helping patients feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout their mental health journey. In addition to these areas of focus, Kara works with concerns such as bipolar disorder, grief, PTSD and trauma, childhood behavior issues, and health-related psychological challenges. She has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and first responders. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and parenting skills interventions, while drawing from additional therapeutic strategies to meet the specific needs of each patient. She has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, self-awareness, and emotional balance. Outside of her clinical work, Kara enjoys spending time with her friends, family and her dog, Enzo.
