About Rebecca Holland (She/Her)
Rebecca has a Master of Arts in Psychology from University of Alaska, Fairbanks, as well as full accredited academic classes through Capella University’s counseling program. She has a background of community mental health outpatient work, therapeutic boarding school work with adolescents and families, therapeutic foster care, and inpatient detention and long term treatment work. Rebecca’s strengths and advanced training include motivational interviewing, oppositional personality traits, anger management, anxiety, cognitive behavioral interventions, depression, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has almost 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and their families, as well as adults facing various challenges of adjustment, loss and transition. Rebecca primarily uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach, with a focus on existing strengths and a solution focus. She believes all change is possible with a trusting relationship and a willingness to improve life. From children and adolescents, to adults or families, there is a resiliency in people that allows for positive change and forward movement. She feels when clients work together with the therapist to establish goals, they are able to invest in moving toward the healthier lives they desire.
