When working individually, Mac offers strength based humanistic therapy drawing from theoretical orientations including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focus brief therapy, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. This approach is implemented in support of those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma responses, loss and grief, and other symptoms. Family therapy is grounded in family system theory addressing various forms of conflict and stabilizing family dynamics as family members move through various life cycle challenges. Mac received his Master’s Degree in Psychology from Antioch University in Seattle WA and his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Tulane University in New Orleans LA. Mac has worked as a therapist in the greater Portland/Vancouver area for over 15 years. Mac offers therapeutic support to individuals within the general age range of 12-60 and their families. He has specific interest in working with teenagers and their families.
