Steven Herring helps adolescents, teens, and adults throughout Oregon navigate emotional challenges with compassion, practical guidance, and evidence-based mental health care. As a provisionally licensed counselor at LifeStance Health. Steven provides individual and group therapy in a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients can build resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward lasting emotional wellness. He works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, while also offering support for concerns related to ADHD, grief, sleep difficulties, and substance use. Steven is especially passionate about helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, PTSD/trauma, and depression. He understands how overwhelming emotional distress can affect work, school, relationships, and self-esteem, and he focuses on helping clients develop healthier coping strategies and greater confidence in their daily lives. Steven works collaboratively with each person to identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck while encouraging meaningful and sustainable growth. His therapeutic style combines warmth, authenticity, and clinical structure. Steven incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. He also offers couples and family therapy support and integrates mindfulness-based techniques into treatment when appropriate. Steven has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, men navigating personal or relational concerns, and adults managing major life transitions. Steven earned his education from Portland State University and Multnomah University. Since beginning his counseling career in 2022, he has remained committed to creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic experience where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Outside of counseling, Steven enjoys entertaining small groups, traveling and exploring new places, and spending time with Walter the Wonder Pug.

Steven Herring provides services with supervision.
