About Jamie Kubess (He/Him)

Jamie Kubess helps teens and adults throughout Oregon navigate emotional challenges, relationship concerns, and major life transitions with compassion, authenticity, and practical support. As a provider at LifeStance Health, he offers individual, group, couples, and family therapy tailored to each person’s goals and experiences. Jamie works with individuals managing anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping them build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change in their daily lives. He believes therapy is most effective when it provides a balance of empathy, collaboration, and actionable tools. A particular area of focus for Jamie is supporting individuals who need assistance navigating disability-related paperwork and the complex stressors that often accompany disability applications and benefits processes. He understands that managing mental health challenges while addressing administrative requirements can feel overwhelming. Jamie is passionate about helping clients advocate for themselves, understand available resources, and move through these systems with greater confidence and support. Jamie draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). His therapeutic style is flexible and person-centered, recognizing that every individual brings unique strengths, challenges, and life experiences to the counseling process. In addition to his primary specialties, he supports individuals facing grief, men’s issues, and psychosis-related concerns, while offering additional services for a wide range of behavioral health needs. Jamie has experience working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, people with autism spectrum disorders, and those with developmental disabilities, creating an inclusive environment where patients feel respected and understood.

Jamie holds degrees from Arizona State University and brings specialized training as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I and Social Worker Associate. His background allows him to support individuals and families facing complex emotional, behavioral, and life challenges from a holistic perspective. Outside of therapy, Jamie enjoys spending time outdoors, especially near water and among trees. He is passionate about singing and regularly participates in karaoke with friends. He also enjoys role-playing and video games, as well as gardening edible herbs, berries, and traditional plants. These interests reflect his appreciation for creativity, community, and personal growth.

Jamie Kubess provides services with supervision.
