Play To Learn: Social Emotional Skills Group For Children in Media, Pennsylvania
Help your child grow socially and emotionally in a fun, supportive group setting!
Group Focus:
This group is designed to help children strengthen their emotional intelligence and build meaningful connections with peers through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
In this group, children will:
- Build self-awareness – Learn to recognize and understand their own feelings and behaviors
- Practice self-management – Develop tools to manage emotions, stay focused, and handle challenges
- Enhance social awareness – Grow empathy and better understand the feelings of others
- Strengthen relationship skills – Learn how to make friends, communicate clearly, and resolve conflicts
- Make responsible decisions – Explore the impact of choices and build problem-solving skills
We use play-based and hands-on activities to help children learn and apply these skills in real-life situations. Each session is tailored to meet the developmental needs of the children in the group, making learning both effective and fun!
Participants: Children of all genders ages 6-10 who are having peer socialization challenges are best suited for this group. Children with aggression challenges, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and mutism would not be suited for this group.
