Parenting In The First Year Group in Tennessee
Have you given birth, used surrogacy, or adopted a child within the past year—and are now experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), or trauma?
Group Overview:
Do you have personal experiences you’d like to process so they don’t interfere with being the best parent you can be?
This group is for parents in their child’s first year—whether newborn or older, first child or not—who want to connect with other new parents in a safe, supportive space. Together, we will discuss postpartum and related challenges, adjustment difficulties, and fears. We will also explore and address life experiences that may impact parenting, helping you nurture, love, and care for your child as your best self.
Participants: Any parent who has had a new addition (by any means) to their family within the past year. All sexual orientations and gender identifications welcome. Symptoms may include depression, anxiety, OCD, stress, and/or personal and intergenerational trauma.
When: Virtual Sessions starting on Tuesdays from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. ET
Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted in Tennessee
Facilitator:
Hilary is a licensed clinical social worker with over 16 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and families with a variety of behavioral health concerns, in a wide range of settings, and using multiple evidence-based models of treatment.
