Kasheida Hector is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2015. She graduated Boston University with an MSW and concentration in Trauma and Violence and graduated Bridgewater State University with a BSW and minor in Psych. In 2019 Kasheida received a Founders Award recipient from Dennison Memorial Community Center for serving as a role model and mentor to the youth of the New Bedford community. Kasheida is certified in Internal Family Systems and have extensive experience and knowledge regarding trauma and family work. Being an Afro Latina from the inner city she is able to provide a different perspective to therapy. Kasheida aims to provide direct and authentic strength-based care in a safe and open environment. In her free time, Kasheida loves traveling and sitting in nature. She enjoys learning about other cultures around the world. During the summer you can find her at the pool or on a beach!
