Ruth Haamankuli, PMHNP, helps adults and older adults across Minnesota navigate mental health challenges with compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care and medication management. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner at LifeStance Health, she partners with patients to better understand their symptoms, improve emotional well-being, and develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term wellness. Ruth works with individuals experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, while also providing care for a wide range of additional mental health concerns. A particular area of passion for Ruth is helping individuals facing mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, and addiction and substance use concerns. She understands that these experiences can affect every aspect of life and approaches treatment with empathy, clinical expertise, and a commitment to helping patients build resilience. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their recovery journey. Ruth incorporates a thoughtful and holistic approach to psychiatric care. In addition to medication management, she may integrate evidence-based strategies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and CBT for insomnia when appropriate. She also has experience supporting military veterans, individuals with autism spectrum disorders, and those involved in adoption or foster care situations. Her practice includes care for a broad range of mental health conditions, with additional specialties available to meet diverse patient needs. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Ruth built a strong clinical foundation through her nursing experience. She earned her education from Palm Beach Atlantic University and Metro State University, preparing her to provide comprehensive, patient-centered psychiatric care. Outside of her professional work, Ruth enjoys staying active through strength training, running, yoga, Pilates, and martial arts. She also values spending time with music and enjoys non-medical reading as a way to continue learning and maintain balance in her life.
