About Paula Dyer (She/Her)
Paula Dyer, PMHNP, is a compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner who helps patients across South Carolina manage mental health conditions with thoughtful, evidence-based medication management and supportive care. She works with teens, adolescents, adults, and seniors, providing individualized treatment plans for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, as well as other complex psychiatric concerns. Paula emphasizes collaboration and clear communication so patients feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout their care journey. With experience in treating a wide range of mental health and substance use conditions, Paula also offers medication management for alcohol and drug use issues. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles into her approach to help patients build practical coping skills and improve daily functioning. Paula has particular experience supporting first responders, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and military service members and veterans, while also offering care to individuals with additional mental health needs. Paula is deeply committed to helping patients navigate life transitions and challenges with stability and resilience. She provides attentive care for individuals facing mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and behavioral challenges, ensuring treatment plans are both clinically sound and aligned with each person’s goals. Outside of her clinical work, Paula enjoys volunteering in her community, traveling, and learning about diverse cultures.
