About Andrew Garver (He/Him)
Andrew Garver helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults across Utah find effective treatment for mental health and substance use challenges through comprehensive psychiatric care. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, he provides personalized medication management and works collaboratively with patients to develop treatment plans that support long-term emotional wellness. His clinical focus includes ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also offering care for a broad range of additional psychiatric conditions. Andrew is particularly committed to supporting individuals experiencing alcohol and drug use issues. He recognizes that substance use concerns often occur alongside other mental health conditions and can affect every area of a person’s life. Through a compassionate, evidence-based approach, he helps patients explore treatment options, strengthen recovery goals, and build a foundation for lasting stability and improved quality of life. His care is rooted in respect, collaboration, and an understanding that recovery looks different for every individual. In addition to medication management, Andrew incorporates treatment approaches that support the whole person. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) when clinically appropriate. He also offers additional treatment options to meet the diverse needs of his patients. By combining clinical expertise with thoughtful listening, he helps individuals better understand their symptoms and identify practical pathways toward healing and resilience. Andrew earned his education from Grand Canyon University and Walden University, building a foundation that supports his integrative and patient-centered approach to psychiatric care. His goal is to create a welcoming environment where patients feel empowered to participate actively in their treatment decisions and progress. Outside of his professional work, Andrew enjoys travel, solving mysteries, and spending time near the water. These interests help him maintain balance and bring curiosity, perspective, and mindfulness into both his personal and professional life.
