Dr. Sarah Walsh is a Board-Certified General and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with experience treating young children to young adults with a wide range of conditions. Dr. Walsh graduated from Yale with a BS in Biology and received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut before moving north to New Hampshire to complete her General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residencies at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH. She served as Chief Resident of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency and was an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry during her fifth and final year of residency. After completing residency in 2011, she spent a decade working in community mental health primarily in the community, but also treating patients in the emergency room and inpatient psychiatric unit. She joined LifeStance in 2021 so she could exclusively focus on working with patients in their homes and has expanded to seeing more young adults.. She is a big believer in addressing mental health struggles earlier so youth can reach their full potential and start adulthood with a healthier outlet and more effective tools. Dr. Walsh’s focus is primarily psychiatric evaluations/medication management, but she is a strong believer that “medications-only” is not the appropriate treatment for youth. Her goal of each evaluation is to make recommendations based on the best evidence and decide together what, if any, medication is indicated. She knows that working collaboratively with therapists to help patients to build skills and develop tools to better manage their symptoms is critical for long-term recovery. She has special interests in ADHD, anxiety, including Selective Mutism and OCD, grief/loss, trauma, attachment disorders, gender dysphoria, and mood disorders. She is providing both in-office appointments in Concord and tele-health services.
