Brian Taracena PsyD, brings 20+ year of experience to his work as a Clinical Psychologist. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Denver in 2001 with an emphasis in Behavioral Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency at Wasatch Mental Health in Provo, UT. He gained additional training through the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Police Department, and Denver Public Schools. Dr. Taracena’s experience spans a variety of settings including inpatient medical hospitals, emergency departments, public schools and community mental health centers. Prior to joining LifeStance, Dr. Taracena owned and operated a small rural clinic for 10 years. He is a member of Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), National Register for Health Providers in Psychology and is a Past-President for the Utah Psychological Association (UPA). Dr. Brian Taracena enjoys working with pre-teens, teens, adults and oldsters. Those working with Dr. Taracena find him to be warm, friendly, and straightforward in his demeanor. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Taracena enjoys mentoring and supervising early career psychologists. When not in the office, he delights in cycling, surfing, XC-skiing, reading, strumming his guitar and hanging with his family.
