About Pamela Jo Pierce (She/Her)

Dr. Pamela Pierce is a New York Clinical Psychologist with experience in all areas of psychological services. Dr Pierce is also a registered nurse and has years of experience working as a psychiatric nurse. Dr. Pierce has held positions in psychiatric in-patient areas and served as the Director of Admissions at Bryce Hospital, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Dr. Pierce utilizes many different approaches toward psychological treatment and therapy. In addition to supportive psychological therapy, Dr. Pierce also includes cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic theory and includes a holistic approach to the wellbeing of each patient. Dr. Pierce specializes in children, adults, couples and has maintained a private practice in the states of Missouri and Alabama. Dr Pierce has been trained and certified by Dr. Bernie Seigel, M.D., a well-known surgeon, and holistic health provider as an ECAP provider providing services to individuals dealing with cancer, loss, grief and bereavement. Dr. Pierce utilizes the technique of mindfulness, coping with stress, anxiety, depression by the art form of music, dance, meditation, and drumming. Dr Pierce includes the patient in the development of a treatment plan with goals to decrease or control issues the patient presents to therapy. Her personal hobbies include Yoga, dance, singing and playing guitar.
