Luke Moore, MA, LPC, ACC
Working together with Luke, clients can overcome generalized anxiety, depression, and anger. They also can “update their software” (i.e., beliefs that were once important, but may no longer be as helpful). Luke actively listens for solutions and building blocks that are unique to each individual. It’s not uncommon that he ask clients to follow up with homework in between sessions, as this helps build muscle memory, and implement new behaviors that are more adaptive.
Luke uses many modalities in therapeutic sessions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and incorporate Gottman techniques (couples therapy).
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Couples and Family from the University of Northern Colorado, Luke has worked in the mental health field for many years, including providing outpatient counseling at community mental health agencies. When not helping others, this Colorado native enjoys cats because they are hilarious, wood working, and hiking.
