About Rachael "Raen" Smithey (She/Her)

Raen Smithey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida who has been practicing since 2019. She earned a BA in Psychology from Sonoma State University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology (Marriage and Family Therapy) from the University of San Francisco. Raen believes in a person-centered approach to therapy, where clients are the experts in their own lives and experiences. She practices with a humanistic, Rogerian approach and enjoys teaching coping skills and working with expressive art and play therapy. Raen provides a high level of empathy to all of her clients and believes in the importance of clients being seen, heard, and valued. She strives to continually learn and grow as a therapist to better help her clients. In her free time, Raen enjoys family, taking care of animals, and arts and crafts.
