Kristal Hankinson helps individuals, children, teens, and families across Kentucky navigate life’s challenges with compassion, structure, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist at LifeStance Health, she creates a supportive environment where clients feel heard and empowered to build meaningful, lasting change.

She specializes in working with ADHD, anxiety, and trauma-related concerns, drawing on approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and family therapy. Kristal has extensive experience supporting children and adolescents, as well as adults and seniors, tailoring treatment to each stage of life. She partners closely with clients to strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and foster healthier relationships, whether in individual, couples, or family therapy settings.

Kristal is especially passionate about working with childhood behavioral issues, women’s issues, and trauma-informed care. She brings a deep understanding of how early experiences and life transitions can impact mental health, helping clients process past experiences while building resilience for the future. She also has experience supporting diverse populations, including those in the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, and individuals connected to adoption or foster care.

Her approach is collaborative and client-centered, blending clinical expertise with genuine empathy. Kristal strives to meet each client where they are, creating a safe space for growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Outside of her clinical work, Kristal enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and spending time with her beloved pets, family, and friends.
