About Ann Pedersen (She/Her)

Ann Pedersen helps adults and older adults across Kentucky navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, helping clients build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful change. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, depression, or the effects of trauma, Ann works collaboratively to develop a treatment approach that aligns with each person’s goals and strengths.

Ann has extensive experience supporting individuals through complex life transitions and emotional difficulties. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also helping clients address concerns such as grief, relationship challenges, mood disorders, women’s issues, and substance use concerns. Her therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and practical, creating an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the healing process.

As a DBT-Certified clinician, Ann is particularly passionate about helping individuals develop healthier ways to manage intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges. She integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into her work and draws from additional evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also offers support for members of the LGBTQ+ community and provides care that is affirming, inclusive, and tailored to each individual’s unique experiences.

Ann believes that effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. She partners with clients to identify obstacles, build on existing strengths, and develop practical skills that promote lasting growth and emotional wellness. Her approach balances clinical expertise with genuine empathy, helping clients feel supported while working toward meaningful progress.

Outside of her professional practice, Ann enjoys reading, watching films, attending comedy shows, and traveling. She values lifelong learning and the opportunity to gain new perspectives through both personal and professional experiences.

Ann earned her degrees from the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. Through LifeStance Health, she is committed to providing high-quality mental health care to adults and seniors throughout Kentucky. If you are seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or life transitions, she welcomes the opportunity to support you on your path toward improved mental health and well-being.
