Virginia Gilpin is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Professional Art Therapist, who has been practicing since May 2011. She graduated from the University of Louisville with a Masters in Counseling with a Concentration in Expressive Counseling.

Virginia believes that change is inevitable in life and can pave the way for growth and attention to an area in life that needs some support. She believes that therapy is about building a relationship with clients, using both strengths and weaknesses to set forth the direction of change and healing in life. Art Therapy utilizes creative self expression to enhance physical, emotional, and mental well being through art making and symbolic communication and metaphor.

Her main areas of focus include working with children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, depression, divorce, grief and loss, attachment, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and behavioral challenges in childhood and adolescents, as well as parenting support.

In her spare time, Virginia enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dog and loves running, hiking, yoga, baking, and being outside.
