Kassy completed her Master of Social Work at University of Minnesota in 2010. She has been licensed through the state of Minnesota as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker since 2013. She enjoys working with individuals, families, children and adolescents. She has extensive training and experience with Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT,) providing children with the opportunity to process traumatic and stressful events. Kassy has experience working with children with ADHD, anger issues, anxiety disorders, attachment issues, body-image issues, depression, grief and loss, oppositional defiant disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and self-injurious behaviors. She also has experience working with adults with anxiety disorders, bi-polar, chemical dependency, depression, eating disorders, grief and loss, and PTSD. Kassy has experience in providing skills work in home-based settings, experience working with children and adolescents in several settings including schools, foster care, community and residential facilities, and currently providing therapeutic services in outpatient therapy in office, schools, and Minnesota Teen & Adult Challenge. Kassy utilizes an authentic, genuine, positive approach when working with clients.
