She has specialized training in trauma therapy and utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which has been shown to be an effective therapy too to promote healing from trauma and for a variety of mental health concerns.
Tonya enjoys working with individuals and couples that are affected by a variety of mental and chemical health concerns. In relationships, she works on enhancing communication, creating mutual respect, trust, listening and validation skills. She utilizes a family systems approach and works to enhance resiliency and inner strength to cope with life’s struggles.
