Lisa Sutter, Therapist

Lisa Sutter, MS, LCMHC

Lisa Sutter helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout New Hampshire navigate life’s challenges with compassion, structure, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting individuals facing ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, sleep difficulties, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Her goal is to create a supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools for lasting change. A particular area of passion for Lisa is working with individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands that the transition from inpatient care back to daily life can feel overwhelming and uncertain. Lisa helps clients establish stability, strengthen coping skills, maintain treatment progress, and build confidence as they move forward in recovery. Her approach emphasizes continuity of care, emotional support, and practical strategies that promote resilience and long-term wellness. Lisa utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while drawing from additional therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. She has experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental disabilities, and those involved in adoption or foster care systems. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety symptoms, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, or major life changes, Lisa tailors treatment to help them achieve meaningful goals. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2016, Lisa has remained committed to helping people develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy coping strategies. She earned her education through Southern New Hampshire University and continues to focus on providing thoughtful, client-centered mental health care. Outside of her work, Lisa enjoys crafting, camping, hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, yoga, tennis, painting, and spending time outdoors. She is also passionate about animal welfare and volunteers with dog rescue organizations.
