Sarah Merrigan, LICSW, provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy to individuals navigating life’s challenges across New Hampshire. With over a decade of clinical experience, she works with adolescents, teens, and adults to help them build resilience, process trauma, and develop healthier coping strategies. Sarah’s approach centers on fostering a safe, supportive therapeutic environment where individuals can explore their experiences and make meaningful change. Sarah is especially passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including first responders, military personnel, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Using trauma-informed techniques such as EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, she helps clients process difficult memories, manage distressing emotions, and reclaim a sense of control and self-worth. Whether clients are coping with PTSD, anxiety, or depression, Sarah offers a grounded, individualized approach tailored to each person’s needs. In addition to her trauma-focused work, Sarah offers specialized support for individuals managing ADHD and substance use challenges. She brings deep empathy and clinical insight to her work with those struggling with focus, impulsivity, and the emotional toll of addiction. Her integrated approach empowers clients to better understand their behavior patterns and build practical skills for long-term well-being. Sarah has been practicing since 2013 and is dedicated to serving clients across the state of New Hampshire through individual therapy. When she’s not working, she enjoys horseback riding, playing the harp, and spending quality time with her family.
