Supportive – Listing acute and mounting stressors in one’s life and identifying tools to manage these including self-validation, self-care, increased stress management including setting boundaries, practicing assertiveness, building positive self-narrative and resilience tools.

Dynamic/Systems/Relational – Insight to identify and shift the weight of defenses contributing to unhealthy patterns of conflict, emotion, attachment, self-view and relationships which can then free and broaden one’s inner access to change.

DBT/Mindfulness – To build tools for healthier living including mindfulness, values clarification, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness.

Trauma and Grief Perspectives – Trauma narration and modulation to pace healing and to integrate one’s cognitive, emotional, somatic, social and spiritual parts. Build use of self-soothing tools and somatic anchor tools to calm fight or flight responses.

Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 1986 and a Master’s in Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1988. She obtained her independent clinical license in Maryland in 1990 and in New Hampshire in 1997. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, in nature and reading. She looks forward to helping you cultivate tools for relief, insight for clarify and hope for a new and more satisfying direction.
