Jasmine Mathurin, MSW, LMSW
Specializes In:
Jasmine Mathurin received a B.A. in Sociology at Boston College and her Masters in Social Work at Fordham University. She has a background that involves providing individual and group therapy to women, children, adolescents, and families battling various forms of mental illness, including depression, anxiety disorders, learning disabilities, phobias and attention disorders. She has received intensive training in the dynamics of Domestic Violence, Rape, Sexual Assault and the Neurobiology of Trauma. She has special interests in Narcissistic Abuse and Complex Trauma. Jasmine utilizes her training as a Certified Life Coach to help motivate and inspire those she serves. Her training as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine allows her to appreciate the value of integrating all aspects of self (Mental, Spiritual, Physical) in treatment. Her objective is to assist others in exploring the many tools and resources they have at their disposal in order to address the complex challenges they face from a holistic perspective and with the acknowledgement of the spirit, mind, body connection. Jasmine views her role as a therapist as a wonderful opportunity to participate in the process of watching another become their greatest version. She does not view herself as an expert but as a guide whose aim is to help others return to the innate strength and wisdom they already possess within. Her aim is to help others transmute life challenges, pain and suffering into opportunities for growth, self-love, and greater awareness of the value and importance of their existence.
