Raynelle Young at LifeStance Health helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors across New York navigate emotional, behavioral, and relationship challenges with compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy in a supportive environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Raynelle works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting families through behavioral concerns, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. Raynelle is especially passionate about helping clients and families manage complex emotional and behavioral challenges in ways that feel practical, approachable, and sustainable. She has experience supporting children and adolescents with childhood behavior issues, school avoidance, emotional regulation difficulties, and family conflict, while also helping adults navigate midlife transitions, women’s issues, and stress-related concerns. Her collaborative and goal-oriented approach is designed to help clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and improve daily functioning in both personal and family life. Her therapeutic style combines warmth with structure, allowing clients to feel supported while actively working toward progress. Raynelle incorporates evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also utilizing mindfulness techniques, family therapy strategies, and parenting support when appropriate. She works with a diverse range of populations, including individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and families involved in adoption or foster care, while offering additional support for other unique life experiences and mental health needs. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2018, Raynelle has remained committed to creating a nonjudgmental space where clients can build confidence, improve communication, and develop healthier patterns that support long-term emotional wellness. She believes therapy should feel both supportive and actionable, helping clients move forward with greater clarity and resilience. Outside of her clinical work, Raynelle enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, and finding small ways to recharge throughout the week. Her understanding of how overwhelming daily responsibilities can become helps her connect with clients in a genuine and empathetic way, bringing both compassion and realism into the therapeutic process.
