Amy graduated from Oregon State University in 2005 with a Masters of Science degree in Counseling. Over the last 17 years she had the opportunity to serve in a variety of settings; from school based, to intensive day treatment, primary care/pediatrics and a private practice group. Amy has direct experience in working within community-based non-profits, school districts, hospital settings and in integrated care. She offers therapy services to children aged 4 years or older, adolescents, young adults, adults and families dealing with issues related to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, parenting, child behavior problems, attachment disruption and stress. Her core belief is that people should be safe and feel heard. She believes an integrated holistic treatment approach offers the highest quality of care. Her therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, focus on mindfulness, bibliotherapy, play therapy and art modalities. Amy is also a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist trained in the S.A.F.E. Approach. Amy and her family have lived in different parts of the Northwest, but Eugene is where she grew up. She and her family enjoy camping, fishing, traveling and life outdoors on their farm.
