Markley Hawkins is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice in South Carolina who has been practicing since 2009. She has a Masters in Social Work degree from Winthrop University. Markley values building meaningful therapeutic relationships with kids, teens, and adults that she works with for therapy. She believes that people who feel safe are more able to be vulnerable in ways that are tough but necessary for growth. Markley wants to understand what the world looks like to each client. She uses a bio-psych-social perspective in her assessment and treatment of a client’s circumstances. Each of these factors play a role in where the client currently is emotionally. Markley likes to find strengths and grit behind the painful burdens people carry and help her clients notice these qualities too. Markley has experience helping people with a wide array of psychological challenges such as trauma, dissociation, depression, anxiety, mood swings, ADHD, acting out behaviors, acting in behaviors, OCD, panic, anger, abuse, and developmental trauma. Outside of work, Markley enjoys hanging out with her family, playing with their animals, listening to music, reading, and gardening.

I love Markley, she is the best. That’s why I moved when she changed work places. I also found Mary Goldin, who I used to see a few years ago. She is great, she listens to you, and really means to help me. As for the insurance people, they are not so good. After these few months they still don’t have my co-pay correct, even though my insurance called them to get it right. Thank you Patty
