Tanner Fredrickson helps adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout Utah navigate mental health challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. At LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, and intensive outpatient services for individuals seeking support with anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also helping patients address a variety of additional emotional and behavioral concerns. Tanner is committed to creating a therapeutic environment where people feel genuinely seen, accepted, and supported as they work toward meaningful change.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Tanner is especially passionate about providing affirming mental health care and support for LGBTQ+ individuals. He understands the unique experiences, stressors, and strengths that can shape a person’s mental health journey and strives to offer a safe, welcoming space where patients can explore their identity, build resilience, and develop confidence in themselves. His approach emphasizes respect, empowerment, and collaboration while honoring each person’s individual story. Tanner specializes in helping patients manage anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. He works with adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors from diverse backgrounds, including individuals in foster or adoption-related situations, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those with autism spectrum disorders. His clinical approach incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and family therapy, along with additional therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. He believes that therapy is most effective when it is built on trust, curiosity, and genuine human connection. Tanner works collaboratively with patients to help them gain insight into patterns that may be holding them back, strengthen coping skills, and create lasting improvements in their emotional well-being. Whether someone is facing life transitions, relationship challenges, mood concerns, or substance use issues, he focuses on helping them move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. Outside of his clinical work, Tanner enjoys creative pursuits and spending quality time with loved ones. He has a passion for building terrariums, painting, and drawing, and values the opportunity that creativity provides for self-expression and personal growth.
