Jennifer Buttrick, MA, CMHC, helps adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors build stability, resilience, and meaningful change through compassionate, evidence-based therapy. Practicing at LifeStance Health, she serves individuals and couples across Utah, offering a supportive space to work through life transitions, emotional distress, and relationship challenges with care that is both grounded and affirming. Her clinical focus includes treating PTSD and trauma, anxiety disorders, and couples issues. Jennifer provides individual therapy and couples therapy using approaches such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and evidence-informed couples counseling rooted in the Gottman Method. She works collaboratively with clients to reduce symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and foster healthier patterns in relationships. Jennifer also serves specific populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and women, while offering additional areas of clinical focus based on each client’s unique needs and goals. Jennifer is especially committed to supporting individuals who are recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital and those involved in court-ordered treatment. She understands that these circumstances often come with heightened stress, uncertainty, and complex emotions. Her approach emphasizes structure, accountability, and compassion, helping clients reestablish safety, rebuild trust in themselves and the therapeutic process, and move forward with greater confidence and stability. Outside of her work as a therapist, Jennifer enjoys baking sourdough bread, watercolor painting, junk journaling, and creative writing.
