Parenting teens can be challenging, especially when trauma is part of the picture. This group offers a safe, supportive space to learn practical tools, share experiences, and build stronger connections with your child.
Group Overview:
What We’ll Work to Gain
- Trauma-Informed Parenting Strategies – Learn approaches that help you respond with understanding and confidence.
- Skills for Communication & Emotional Safety – Discover ways to set healthy boundaries and co-regulate with your teen.
- Connection & Support – Reduce isolation by sharing experiences with other caregivers who “get it.”
What We’ll Explore
- DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills – Practical tools for emotional regulation, mindfulness, and improving relationships.
- SELF Framework – A simple model that focuses on Safety, Emotions, Loss, and Future—helping families navigate healing and growth.
Participants: Adults (18+) of any gender parenting a child age 10+ years old and open to healthy group discussions
Cost: Insurance and self-pay are accepted
When: In-person on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., starting January 9 and ending February 27, 2026
Facilitator:
Letitia Cammon is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma who has been practicing since 2006. She has a BA in Psychology from St. Bonaventure and an MA in Christin Counseling from Oral Roberts University.
