Maryanne Fournier, DNP, NP, Psychiatry in Salem, New Hampshire

Board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over ten years of experience treating a wide variety of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Both my Bachelor’s degree and my Master’s degree were obtained from Regis College in Weston, MA. I obtained a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University in Illinois. I have worked in a number of areas of mental health, such as crisis stabilization, inpatient, outpatient clinics and have had my own practice. I have also worked with substance use disorders in the program setting. I have a holistic approach and believe in treating the whole patient with personalized approaches. My beliefs begin with compassion, non-judgmental attitude, and acceptance of people wherever they are in their life. Skills and Specializations: Assessment and diagnosis, medication management, psychotherapy, treatment planning. I began my career in nursing 30 years ago in emergency medicine and critical care. Throughout my career, I have also worked in nursing administration and nursing education. I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, having worked as a Nurse manager in an inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, and also as a Nurse Practitioner administering medications as well as other treatments and services as appropriate for the adult outpatient population.
