Sean Fogarty helps adults and older adults across Oregon navigate mental health challenges with a thoughtful, evidence-based approach that balances clinical expertise with genuine compassion. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, he provides medication management for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Sean works collaboratively with each patient to understand their goals, symptoms, strengths, and life circumstances, creating treatment plans that support both symptom relief and long-term well-being. A particular area of passion for Sean is supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, including those exploring or affirming their gender identity. He recognizes that identity-related concerns can intersect with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, and he strives to create an affirming, respectful environment where patients feel seen, heard, and understood. Sean values individualized care and understands that every person’s mental health journey is unique. In addition to treating ADHD, anxiety, and depression, Sean has experience supporting individuals facing bipolar disorder, PTSD and trauma-related concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosis, sleep disorders, grief, substance use concerns, and major life transitions. He works with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, military veterans, and people with autism spectrum disorders, while also offering support for many additional communities and mental health needs. His approach may incorporate principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness alongside medication management when appropriate, helping patients build practical skills that complement their treatment plan. Sean earned his education from Washington State University and the University of Nevada, Reno. Since beginning his clinical practice in 2026, he has remained committed to providing patient-centered psychiatric care that is grounded in respect, collaboration, and ongoing learning. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his dogs and his boyfriend, trying new restaurants, and exploring Portland. These experiences help him stay connected to the importance of balance, community, and personal growth.
