About Pilar Turner (She/Her)

Pilar Turner, PMHNP, helps patients across South Carolina achieve greater stability and well-being through personalized, evidence-based psychiatric care. As a nurse practitioner at LifeStance Health, she provides thoughtful medication management for children, adolescents, teens, and adults, addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Pilar is committed to creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful progress. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. Pilar understands that this transition can feel overwhelming, and she focuses on continuity of care, medication stabilization, and relapse prevention. By working closely with patients and their support systems, she helps bridge the gap between inpatient and outpatient care, promoting long-term recovery and improved quality of life. In addition to her focus on transitional care, Pilar treats a range of concerns including bipolar disorder and substance use challenges, offering medication management and integrating mindfulness techniques into treatment when appropriate. She has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals in foster or adoptive care, those on the autism spectrum, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, among others. She offers additional areas of support tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Pilar believes in a collaborative, patient-centered approach that respects each individual’s experiences and goals. She takes time to educate patients about their treatment options and works to build practical strategies that support both mental and physical health. Outside of her clinical work, Pilar enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending time outdoors.
