Dr. Austin is particularly focused on helping patients understand how mental health symptoms affect daily functioning, relationships, sleep, concentration, and overall quality of life. He works closely with individuals navigating mood disorders, attention and concentration challenges, and anxiety-related concerns, using a balanced approach that emphasizes education, symptom management, and long-term emotional wellness. His clinical style prioritizes open communication and individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique strengths, circumstances, and goals.
In addition to treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions, Dr. Austin has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals on the autism spectrum. He is committed to providing affirming, compassionate care that recognizes the ways identity, neurodiversity, and life experiences can shape mental health. While these are areas of particular interest, he welcomes and supports patients facing a wide variety of emotional and behavioral health concerns.
Dr. Austin earned his education from UMass Chan Medical School and Elms College and began practicing in 2025. He is dedicated to helping patients feel empowered through accessible, respectful, and clinically informed psychiatric care.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Austin enjoys caring for houseplants, gardening, landscaping, fishkeeping, gaming, and weightlifting. These interests reflect his appreciation for patience, consistency, and personal growth—qualities that also inform his approach to patient care.
