Psychologist and Therapist in Hillsboro, OR Ildiko Suto, PsyD

Ildiko Suto, PsyD

Bio: Dr. Ildiko Suto obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Pacific University, where upon graduation was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Award. She studied for her MA degree in Counseling Psychology at Lewis and Clark College. While working as a clinical specialist at CODA - an agency specialized on treating substance use - she was given the Executive Director's Award for Clinical Excellence. She conceptualizes client problems from a cognitive-behavioral orientation. She views beliefs, and to a lesser degree events or personal characteristics, as being at the core of emotional distress. As a result, during therapy, she places emphasis on addressing client thoughts that interfere with change and growth. She employs evidence-based methods and tailors them to the individual clients' needs. She treats her clients with respect, sensitivity, caring, and honesty.
