Ivy Dreyer Goldman, MSW, CSWA
Ivy Dreyer-Goldman utilizes supportive therapy, person-centered therapy, Play Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist individuals, adults, and families in navigating emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in trama informed care, empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Through supportive therapy, Ivy helps clients process difficult emotions, strengthen coping skills, improve self-esteem, and build resilience during periods of stress, transition, or personal growth.
Using a person-centered approach rooted in Rogerian principles, Ivy creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is foundational to meaningful and lasting change.
Ivy also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical coping strategies. CBT techniques are tailored to each individual’s needs and may focus on anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, self-esteem, stress management, communication skills, and problem-solving.
When working with families, Ivy emphasizes collaboration and open communication to strengthen relationships, improve understanding, and support healthy family functioning. She works closely with parents, caregivers, and family members to develop individualized goals and strategies that foster positive change within the family system.
Ivy Dreyer Goldman is a Certified Social Work Associate (CSWA) and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California, her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Antioch University, and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Acuity Institute. Outside of her clinical work, Ivy enjoys spending time with friends and family while exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
