Sarah Cairo, LPC, PMH-C,
About Sarah Cairo (She/Her)
Sarah Cairo helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Oregon build resilience, improve relationships, and create meaningful change through compassionate, evidence-based therapy at LifeStance Health. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she provides individual therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related challenges. Sarah believes healing is possible for everyone and works collaboratively with clients to better understand their experiences, identify unmet needs, and develop healthier ways of coping and connecting with others. A particular focus of Sarah’s practice is supporting women’s issues and perinatal mental health. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate the emotional complexities that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum recovery, reproductive challenges, and other significant life transitions. Sarah understands that these experiences can affect emotional well-being, identity, relationships, and self-confidence. She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and move toward greater balance and emotional wellness. Sarah also works with individuals experiencing anxiety, grief, and sleep-related concerns, while offering support for a variety of additional mental health challenges. She has experience serving individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and those living with the effects of head injuries. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes self-exploration, effective communication, and personal growth. Drawing from evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and CBT for Insomnia, she tailors treatment to each client’s unique goals and circumstances. Since beginning her practice in 2023, Sarah has remained committed to helping clients create lasting and meaningful change. She earned her education from Bushnell University and the University of Oregon, bringing both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to her work. Outside of the therapy office, Sarah enjoys gardening, birding, hiking, and reading. Her appreciation for nature and lifelong learning reflects the thoughtful, grounded perspective she brings to her work with clients.
