About Aurora Meneses da Silva (She/Her)

Aurora Meneses da Silva helps adults and older adults across Oregon navigate life’s challenges, deepen their understanding of themselves, and build more fulfilling relationships. As a Marriage and Family Therapist with LifeStance Health, she provides individual and couples therapy for people experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, and life transitions. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling understood and connected.

Working from attachment-based and systemic perspectives, Aurora recognises that emotional well-being is shaped by our personal experiences, relationships, and wider life circumstances. She looks beyond the presenting problem to explore the physical, emotional, relational, social, cultural, and spiritual factors that may contribute to or maintain difficulties. By helping clients understand these connections and recognise patterns that may no longer serve them, she supports them in translating insight into action. Her approach combines compassion with a proactive focus on change, helping clients establish attainable goals, develop new ways of relating to themselves and others, and build skills that sustain progress beyond therapy.

Aurora’s clinical perspective is also shaped by her multicultural background and personal experience. Originally from Portugal, she has studied and worked in Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the United States. These experiences have deepened her appreciation of how culture, identity, belonging, and differing expectations shape our relationships and sense of self. As part of a multicultural couple who raised a child in a culture different from either parent’s own, she understands the joys and complexities of building a family across cultural boundaries. She brings this perspective to her work with individuals and couples navigating cultural differences, family dynamics, and competing expectations.

Aurora works with clients experiencing grief and loss, later-life transitions, chronic pain or illness, and postpartum depression or anxiety, among other mental health concerns. She tailors therapy to each client’s circumstances, strengths, and goals, with an emphasis on fostering self-awareness, emotional connection, and meaningful, lasting change.

Aurora’s educational background includes studies at Purdue University and the University of Algarve. She offers therapy in both English and Portuguese, helping Portuguese-speaking clients explore personal and emotional experiences in a language that feels natural to them. Outside of her clinical work, Aurora enjoys practicing golf and meditation, reading, and spending time with her family.
