Christopher MacMurray, LPC, LMHC,
About Christopher MacMurray (He/Him)
Christopher MacMurray helps children, adolescents, teens, and young adults build practical skills to navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges with greater confidence. Through LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy and case management services for patients across Oregon. Christopher works collaboratively with each patient and family to create a supportive, goal-oriented treatment experience that promotes lasting growth and resilience. His clinical focus includes ADHD, anxiety, and childhood behavior issues, while also offering support for additional concerns such as depression, grief, PTSD/trauma, school avoidance, and other mental health needs. Christopher is especially passionate about helping young people who are struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and childhood behavior challenges. He understands how difficulties with attention, emotional regulation, worry, or behavior can affect success at home, in school, and in relationships. Using evidence-based approaches, he helps patients identify obstacles, strengthen coping strategies, and develop skills that support healthy functioning across different areas of life. He also partners closely with parents and caregivers to encourage consistent progress and positive change. His therapeutic approach is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Christopher incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy to help patients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building confidence in facing fears and overcoming challenges. He believes meaningful progress begins with a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and genuine understanding. Before entering clinical practice, Christopher developed a deep appreciation for the value of listening to people’s stories and recognizing each person’s strengths. His academic training includes studies at Gonzaga University and Whitworth University, which helped shape his evidence-based and compassionate approach to mental health care. Outside of work, Christopher enjoys creative writing, hiking and backpacking, and staying physically active. These interests reinforce his appreciation for personal growth, perseverance, and the connection between mental and physical wellness.
