She specializes in helping clients to overcome daily life concerns, including physical, mental, and emotional abuse, anxiety, anger, depression, coping with grief, family issues, conflict resolution, midlife changes/crisis, low self-esteem, and self-care, so that they can once again live purposeful and joy-filled lives. Having overcome life-altering losses or stressors of my own, Carla has given the tools to help others do the same. Carla’s approach to counseling is meeting the client where he/she is, being open, honest and compassion. She believes in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and she doesn’t believe in stigmatizing labels. Her approach combines Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Brief Focused Solution Therapy, and Mindfulness/Meditation.
