Tavianna Patterson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Tennessee, and she has been in practice for approximately 15 years. She has her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee, Martin, and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee. Tavianna has had a variety of experience working in multiple settings including community mental health, a group home setting for children in state custody, an agency treating survivors of sexual assault, and private practice. Tavianna helps her clients by creating a safe space, developing a strong therapeutic connection, and cultivating an environment where her clients feel safe to share and show up authentically. Tavianna’s practice style is relational, attachment based, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic. Tavianna enjoys utilizing somatic based interventions as well as a traditional talk therapy approach. Tavianna harnesses the perspective of the client as it relates to their environment, both past and current, which allows her to assist her clients on their path to growth, change, and self-actualization. Tavianna joins with her clients to address their presenting problems, assist them with formulation of treatment goals, and align them on the path towards health and healing, to set them up for success. In her free time, Tavianna enjoys reading, working out, time outdoors, and spending quality time with her family, pups and cat included!
