Dr. Fleming is a very caring and compassionate psychiatrist. He listens to my rambles, never interrupts and offers sound, practical advice. He’s never condescending and is so very understanding. Never dismissive and acknowledges my concerns/fears/feelings as valid. He seems to just be a kind, genuine human in general. I’ve been a patient for about 4 years, and he’s been like that since day 1. I was fortunate as he was my first psychiatrist (been seeing psychologists for years) and I felt like we clicked (not like in a weird way); finally someone “got” me. He was the first doctor of any kind (and really the only person I’d shared what was going on with ) that actually listened and “believed” me. I was also having health issues and no one would listen that something was also medically wrong; got down to 87 pounds (from about 115), and that made me feel like I was even crazier cause I knew something was wrong. Developed health anxiety as a result. Everyone kept saying, “it’s just in your head,” and “you’re aren’t eating cause it’s in your head that something’s wrong, you have an eating disorder,” (which I didnt, just always super nauseous and no appetite) well duh I know it’s in my head, hence why I’m seeking help due to multiple panic/anxiety attacks per day. A lot of ER visits over many years thinking I’m having a heart attack plus dehydration and at the point of begging to be committed to a psychiatric ward because everyone had convinced me nothing was wrong medically or mentally. Early on in my mental health journey with him, i believe I had seen him only a couple of times, I was having probably the worst panic attack to date after hours. I had went to the ER the night before because of a panic attack from a reaction to a new medication and started having another one. I called the after hours number and he promptly called me back, he was so gentle and kind in calming me down and saw me the next day. Eventually things started settling down mentally a bit from working with Dr. Fleming and medical doctors started finally listening. Ended up needing my gallbladder removed, had ulcers in my small intestines and a severe H. Pylori infection in my GI system that took months to get rid of. Plus a spot on my brain and an enlarged thymus that was believed to be cancer, thankfully it wasn’t. Sorry this is so long, but don’t let anyone tell you “it’s just in your head,” which in turns makes you feel crazier than you already feel. Make people/doctors listen to you. You aren’t crazy and are definitely not alone. Dr. Fleming will never make you feel that you’re alone, or crazy and will always be there to genuinely listen to you. I’m still on my mental health journey with Dr. Fleming, although I’ve come so far, and will probably be my whole life but I’m okay with that because he reminds me it’s okay to feel the way I feel.

I'm new, but so far it's been a positive experience. UPDATE: Sadly, I stopped going there. The office is part of a larger scale network of providers and that is the problem. They have a call center type phone system for ALL of the clinics together, and the messages aren't bein sent/accepted. I cancelled an appointment, was reassured I would not incur additional fees, then I called to say I could make the appointment after all, and was assured that the appointment was still mine. On the phone waiting for the appointment and I got crickets! I called them to let them know the therapist didn't contact me for the appointment and they said not to worry about it, they will straighten it out. Then things got worse; I did incur $100. fee for missed appointment and it was longer than a month to fix, as they did finally remove that fee. Next, they over billed my co-pay, asked me to pay it anyway, and then said I could ask my insurance provider for the difference. The therapist and the intake nurse were so good and I cannot emphasize that enough, however, this experience has only created more problems for my complicated life.

I’ve complimented on this company a few times and I’m still standing firm that they are the best company. I’ve been with them a little over a year and the confidence I have in my therapist, Cynthia Edins is second to none. She is very honest with me and pushes me when I need it. She and my NP, Jessica Clarkwork well together and I feel as though I’m making progress.
