Ariel Watson, PMHNP, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate complex mental health challenges with compassionate, individualized psychiatric care. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management for patients across South Carolina, partnering with individuals and families to improve emotional well-being, restore stability, and support long-term health. Ariel works with a wide range of concerns and has particular experience treating ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also supporting patients facing many other behavioral health conditions. Ariel believes effective mental health treatment begins with listening and understanding each person’s unique experiences, goals, and strengths. She takes a collaborative approach to care, creating treatment plans that are tailored to each patient’s needs and grounded in evidence-based psychiatric practice. Her work includes supporting children, adolescents, teens, and adults through periods of emotional distress, life transitions, and ongoing mental health concerns. She also has experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, and military veterans, among other populations. A special area of passion for Ariel is helping individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands that the transition from inpatient care back to daily life can be overwhelming and often requires thoughtful follow-up, medication management, and ongoing support. By focusing on continuity of care and relapse prevention, she helps patients build stability, strengthen coping strategies, and move forward with confidence during this critical stage of recovery. Before entering advanced practice, Ariel built a foundation in nursing that continues to inform her holistic view of patient care. Outside of work, Ariel enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her family, and taking motorcycle rides.
