About Jay Johnson (He/Him)
Dr. Johnson is a licensed psychologist who has been in private practice for over thirty years. His approach to psychotherapy is an integration of cognitive behavioral, lifespan developmental, neurobiological and family/community systems perspectives. He approaches psychological concerns with a view toward how an individual thinks, feels and behaves, taking into consideration a person’s unique development, cultural/spiritual/faith worldview and the family and community in which they live. Types of therapeutic interventions used include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Modification, Communication Skills Building, Solution Focused Problem Solving, Parent training, Contracting, Journaling and Homework Assignments. He enjoys spending time with his wife, adult daughters, family and friends, reading, outdoor adventures and exploring new places.
