McKenzie Valenta helps adults across Oregon gain clarity, answers, and a deeper understanding of their mental health through comprehensive psychological testing and assessment services. As a Psychologist at LifeStance Health, she works with adults experiencing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, providing thoughtful evaluations that can guide diagnosis, treatment planning, and personal growth. McKenzie creates a supportive and affirming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the assessment process. Psychological testing is a central focus of McKenzie’s practice. She is passionate about helping individuals better understand cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges that may be impacting their daily lives. Through comprehensive evaluations, she helps patients identify underlying factors contributing to symptoms and provides meaningful insights that can support more effective treatment and improved well-being. Her approach is collaborative, thorough, and tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances and goals. In addition to psychological testing, McKenzie has experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns, including trauma-related difficulties, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bipolar disorder, while also supporting individuals facing other emotional and psychological challenges. She works with adults from diverse backgrounds and has experience serving members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as women seeking mental health support. When appropriate, her clinical work may incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies. McKenzie earned her education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Adler University. Her professional perspective is shaped by a commitment to understanding each patient’s lived experiences and helping them access the resources and support they need to thrive. Outside of her clinical work, McKenzie is passionate about social justice advocacy and enjoys participating in nonprofit organizations that promote equity and community well-being. She also enjoys baking homemade bread and pasta, reading, sewing, and swimming.
