About Barbara Rye (She/Her)
Barbara Rye is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been practicing for more than 20 years. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a MA in Education In Counseling, working in general mental health and addiction. Barbara believes that everyone has an inner wisdom and it is her job is to offer support, feedback and insight to help them find it. She feels the counseling process can help a person to become more strong, wise and integrated. Barbara utilizes an eclectic approach, combining person-centered (a belief that all people are inherently good), cognitive-behavioral (focusing on the thoughts-feelings connection) and other counseling philosophies to support individuals in finding their way. She is grateful to have the opportunity to work with adults from all walks of life in addressing their healing, transformation and growth. In her spare time, Barbara enjoys hiking/yoga, family/pets, nature, creativity, meditation and seeking meaning & purpose through experience.
