Maraiah is a registered art therapist, licensed mental health counselor in Washington and Oregon state, and certified ADHD-clinical services provider. She graduated from Marylhurst University with a degree in clinical art therapy counseling, holds a Master of Fine Art from Georgia State University, and a certificate of Chemical Dependency Proficiency from Spokane Falls Community College. She is also an EMDRIA-trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. Maraiah enjoys collaborating with her clients to develop a personalized approach to therapy that is compassionate and strengths-based. Elements of art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, Schema therapy, mindfulness, multicultural perspectives, and EMDR may be utilized and/or integrated into each session. Maraiah’s areas of focus are trauma recovery, life transitions, grief/loss, medical/health issues, spiritual/cultural concerns, ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ support.
