About Aaliyah Mathis (She/Her)

Aaliyah Mathis helps teens and adults across Tennessee build resilience, manage overwhelming emotions, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for clients navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s needs, helping clients feel supported while developing practical strategies to improve daily functioning and emotional well-being. Aaliyah works with teens, young adults, adults, and seniors, and has experience supporting diverse communities, including individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, and those connected to adoption or foster care. She focuses on helping clients strengthen anxiety management skills, practice harm reduction, and develop effective safety planning strategies. In addition to her core specialties, she supports clients facing challenges such as grief, substance use, and life transitions, among others. Her clinical work integrates evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through these approaches, Aaliyah helps clients increase self-awareness, regulate emotions, and build meaningful coping skills that promote lasting change. She is committed to creating a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard and empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace. Since beginning her practice in 2022, Aaliyah has remained dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered mental health care that honors each individual’s unique journey. Outside of her clinical work, Aaliyah enjoys staying active through dancing, running, and exercise. She values spending quality time with family and friends, working on puzzles, and reading, finding joy in both movement and quiet, reflective moments. Aaliyah Mathis proudly serves individuals throughout Tennessee with thoughtful, evidence-based therapy.
