About Betsy Carroll (She/Her)
Betsy Carroll helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical guidance, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for patients across Tennessee who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns. Betsy is committed to creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. With experience working across the lifespan, Betsy understands that mental health needs can look different at every stage of life. She works with children and adolescents experiencing behavioral concerns and school-related difficulties, teens facing emotional and social challenges, and adults navigating personal, family, and life transition issues. She also has experience supporting first responders and military veterans, recognizing the unique stressors and experiences these populations may encounter. Betsy is particularly passionate about helping individuals who are struggling with anxiety, PTSD and trauma, and alcohol and drug use issues. She believes healing begins with understanding each person’s story and developing a personalized treatment plan that addresses both immediate concerns and long-term wellness. Her approach focuses on helping patients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward lasting recovery and emotional well-being. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and tailored to each patient’s needs. Betsy incorporates evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She also offers additional therapeutic approaches and services designed to support a variety of mental health concerns, relationship challenges, and personal growth goals. Betsy earned her education through the University of Tennessee and has been dedicated to helping individuals and families improve their quality of life through professional mental health care. She values ongoing learning and stays informed about effective treatment approaches that can benefit her patients. Outside of her clinical work, Betsy enjoys traveling, sewing, and spending time camping. These interests help her maintain balance and bring creativity, curiosity, and perspective to the work she does with patients. Patients throughout Tennessee who are looking for therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, life transitions, or substance use challenges can find supportive, individualized care with Betsy Carroll at LifeStance Health.
